Last week whilst you were basking in sunshine, our team of Ashton members were playing in the European 8's Tournament at the magnificent Quinta do Lago in Portugal's Algarve.
The weather was not kind to us, but I had a great time with a great bunch of (school children) sorry I mean great guys!
There is never a dull moment with lots of great banter, and although everyone played some good golf we were outplayed in the art of scoring, our excuse is that many of them are locals!
Despite some really heavy rain we managed to get all 4 tournament rounds completed with only one of the rounds having to be cut to 13 holes when the course became unplayable.
Thanks to my team for another great week of golf and camaraderie; you were awesome.
