It's great to be back hitting shots

It's just about 6 weeks since my operation and I have just started to hit balls again and it feels great and quite comfortable. 

Although I feel ok, I am certainly not golf fit and will have to get back to regular stretching exercises to be at my best. 

I am really looking forward to playing a Pro Am event in January with Andy Bytheway, John Heaton and Garry Shoreman in Portugal so I have around 10 weeks to get ready.


 

Last week was the first of our popular winter series of fourball competitions and with over 180 competitiors. 

This was another success and just to start the winter off with a bang, John Flaherty had a Hole in One on the 7th and the winning score was an incredible 39 points over 14 holes by Neil Davies and Brian Mcaleavey, who won £50 each and have been cut 3 shots off their handicap.


This Saturday we will again be playing 14 holes with the 4th and 5th missing from the top 9 and 2 New holes will be in play which are looking fantastic with lots more growth on the fairways and much better definition with the rough on the left and between the 2 holes. From 13 you will go left through the trees across the causeway and play 14, 15 and 18.
