Looking for a hybrid?
Then look no further than the new Callaway X2 Hot! Callaway have always been known as a leader in innovation and this year they have put driver technology into a hybrid. These hybrids really are something to shout about but with all the buzz being about the new Callaway drivers they are going under the radar a little.
This is what Callaway have to say about their new X2 Hot hybrid: For the first time ever, we're bringing thinner, lighter and more robust faces to our hybrids. We're talking a sweet spot that is 13 times larger than last year! So you get huge, repeat HUGE distance and higher ball speeds out of a versatile club that's going to give you a ridiculous amount of confidence. Bottom line: the performance advancement we just made with fairway woods has been matched by our hybrids. Now that's a quantum leap for you!
My assistant John already has one in his golf bag and says the ball speed is just ridiculous! We played at Mere on Thursday and he was telling me just how easy it is to hit from bad lies in the rough. If it is that easy to hit from bad lies then imagine how easy it is from the fairway or off the tee.
The new X2 Hot hybrid is available to try in The Swing Studio today, contact me here to book a fitting session.

Lady Captain and Junior Captain Drive In
Our new Lady Captain Jean Williams opened the ladies season on Wednesday watched by a large number of members and after warming up in the Golf Studio made a very stylish swing (see photo) and hit a good drive straight down the middle.
On Sunday, our new Junior Captain Craig Rimmer pictured with Lady Captain Jean Williams and Captain Eric Taylor opened the Junior season on a glorious afternoon by hitting a 230 yard tee shot (a bit shorter than his usual, but it was into the breeze) watched by a good crowd of supporters Craig then watched as all the juniors teed off in a 9 hole competition. Good luck to The Captain, Lady Captain and Junior Captain, lets hope its a great year for golf.
It has been brought to my attention that there is some confusion about the use of smart phone golf apps in competition play. One of our members had a great score in last weeks' competition without knowing this rule, and came in to check the official rules and regulations so came to check with us for clarity.
R&A rule 14.3 appendix 1v note 5:
The device must measure distance only, if the device is a smart phone and there are any features that can measure anything other than distance ie wind speed or slope then this is in breach of the rules whether the function is used or not.
