Hello golfers, 



Fantastic Team Effort

Once again the Club Championship was a fantastic success thanks to Richard's organisation and a great team of helpers who make the day special with on course scoring, spotting, starting, recording and Barbecuing! 
 
No real surprise that the Club Champion is Garry Lacy with 2 solid rounds of 71 gross but once again the runner up was Ian Bromelow with 75 + 70 and tied 3rd on 148 was Matty Whitfield and Andy Addison. The nett prize was won by Andy Brooks who added a 72 (partly sober) to add to his superb morning 65 (still hungover!!) to win by 3 shots from Matty Whitfield. 


Other Great Results

Congratulations to Mick Bohanon on winning the stroke on 19th July with a nett 67. Mick is currently having some lessons with me and is starting to enjoy his golf a lot more. 

Well done to Ben Winstanley winning the Junior Stroke with an impressive nett 62! 

The Senior stableford on 21st July was won with an impressive 42 points by Andrew Wilcox. 

Joyce Kenyon shot a nett 68 to win the Ladies Medal on the 22nd. 

Next up the Junior Club Championship and Connor Winstanley made it his own with impressive gross scores of 72 and 68!!! The nett was also won by Connor with 67-63 and tied with him on 10 under was Kian Price. Tom Ratcliffe and Matthew Shaw were both 8 under and Matthew Picton shot 70-65 for 5th. 


Cheesecake Challenge!!

After a few beers on Saturday Paul Hughes and Neil Edwards got a bet on with Phil that if they scored 41 points or more in Sunday's Norman Shutler event they he would make them a FREE cheescake and anything less they would be purchasing one! 

The event was won by Alec Power and Andy Parkinson with 45 points but when Paul Hughes holed from 4ft on the last green for 41 points and 10th place they were really pleased and looking forward to their Salted Caramel Cheesecake courtesy of Phil.
