Ladies District Championship 

This year's event was hosted by Haydock Park last Saturday and although our Ladies did not win they easily won best dressed team, as did our Victory Trophy team the week before. 

Our ladies were led by Lady Captain Kath Smith with her customised Pink woods!

Kath had her clubs regripped last week with Lamkin ladies pink grips which made the heads on her woods look rather sorry for themselves so she called in the crew from the TV show" Pimp My Ride" and as you can see from the photo they did just that!!

Hard work does pay off!

Paul Maloney has won another competition, the midweek singles stableford with 38 points to add to his Pigot Trophy win and has been working on his game with John and I.

George Heaton who has been working very hard on his game (you may have spotted him at the club) won the Monthly medal Division 1 with a nett 66 as well as finishing 2nd in the Ashton Open, which was won by Craig Woods, with best gross going to Garry Lacy and 2nd gross to John Heaton.

Mick Bohanon won division 2 in the monthly medal and Mick has also recently been taking some lessons and working on his game.

Buggies

In the picture you will see how not to use or park a buggy!! 

In the recent senior open this was where one of the visitors decided to park? It's a good job the double doors were not open as he would have been inside the clubhouse!!!

Just a point about BUGGY USE, at some point you do have to get off and walk to your ball, please do not automatically drive straight to your ball because as well as damaging the course and our flower beds, it can also be very dangerous.
