The sun is shining the golf course is looking great and there are white legs everywhere!!
I think we are getting the balance right these days with dress codes, and whilst we all like to look smart we also like to feel comfortable and dress appropriately for the weather.
When I speak with other Golf Pro's around the country from a cross section of different types of golf courses from Open Championship venues to municipal courses, one of the most contentious issues is shorts and socks.
In the past some courses have insisted on golfers looking like characters from 'it aint half hot mum'! With long shorts and long socks, thankfully this has now disappeared and clubs and golfers have realised that for the relatively short periods we have of sunshine we are more relaxed.
It's great when you get the opportunity to play in shorts, and all that we ask is that the shorts are smart and not cargo or football type and that socks are white, any length.
We have a good selection of shorts and socks which are all suitable for playing golf anywhere in the world so if you are unsure, or just fancy freshening up your wardrobe why not pay us a visit.

Sawgrass Pro Am
I am very fortunate to be going to play in a Pro Am Tournament in Sawgrass with John Heaton, Andy Bytheway and Andy Addison and look forward to sharing with you some pictures and comments on the event.
The Pro Am follows the Players Championship which we will get to watch on the final day before we get underway ourselves.
The spectator stands will still be up and the course in fantastic condition after the Championship.
We are all looking forward to playing the courses and especially the famous island green on the 17th Hole.
More Great Lesson Feedback
Hi Peter,
I just thought I would let you know the lessons and practice is paying off. Played my best round at the weekend. I shot 85/64 nett and got a new handicap of 18.7. Will be in touch soon to book another lesson.
Ian
It's great to hear when golfers start to enjoy their game again after struggling with their form as Ian was and really start to enjoy the game more which results in better scores.

30 Yards Distance Gain
Last week one of our members came to try out some new clubs and told me that he hit his 7 iron 120 yards which he proceeded to do.
After a few more swings with a small swing change and a new club he was hitting his 7 iron 150 yards!!!!!
He had been reluctant in the past about having lessons as he thought that he would be taken to pieces and remodelled and that he would not be able to do it. The incredible difference in distance will now ensure his handicap reduces as it only can when you are hitting 3 less clubs into the green.
Club fitting is a matchup between player and club and when you get both working well the results are outstanding.
