Liverpool Golf Alliance
A word from John about the first two Alliance events of the season:
Caldy Golf Club - Jeff Ratcliffe, Mark Thorpe and Garry Barker joined me to play Caldy last week and it was a great day! Caldy is a great course with beautiful views and was playing very long. Jeff was my partner in the Pro-Am competition and Mark and Garry played in the Am-Am. Jeff and I managed to beat them by a point on the day, but they finished second in the Am-Am competition with 38 points!
Leasowe Golf Club - This week George Heaton, Jeff Ratcliffe and Paul Barton joined me with George partnering me. George took out the new Callaway XR driver, 3 wood and hybrid and was much more consistent off the tee while also gaining distance from his own PING I20 woods. George and I had 44 points but just missed out on the prizes finishing in third place! Jeff and Paul however won the Am-Am competition with a great score of 42 points.
Hopefully we can continue the good form at Eaton next week!
