A Star in our Midst
Check out the picture of our very own Superstar Michelle Liptrot who last week captained Bowdon Hightown winning the National Indoor Hockey Final at the Wembley Arena!
They beat East Grinstead in 4 - 1 in front of a Crowd of 5,000!
Michelle has told me for several years that she is retiring from Hockey but just seems to keep getting better, but when she does finally retire and concentrates on her golf we will all be in trouble!!
With this win now qualifying them to play in Europe, I can see Michelle playing yet another season.
Fantastic result, congratulations.

Sportman's Dinner
Last week's Sportsman's dinner was a huge success and I have been getting plenty of feedback about the stories told by "Big Jim Mills" who played Rugby for Widnes and was the guest speaker, and along with the comedian kept everyone entertained.
Congratulations to all who were involved in the organisation as it was certainly a great night.
The picture is of Ste Rimmer flanked by rugby legends Jim Mills and Billy Boston, you will see why he is called BIG Jim!!
In testing winter conditions the winning scores the last 2 weeks have been remarkable.
Richard Iredale and Alex Lewis won on the 24th Jan with 36 points over 14 holes, and last week in frosty conditions Lee Touhey and Declan Fishwick had an amazing 39 points which was still only good enough to win on a card playoff with Paul Critchley and Alan Harwood.
