Dear All, Following on from Prime Ministers statement on another national lockdown from Thursday at midnight, currently this means that Golf courses will have to close for at least a month. There is however a debate going on with Golf's governing bodies and the Government to try and fight the case of golf being one of the safest and healthiest outdoor activities. Hopefully this will be the case but at the moment it is still being discussed. My shop will have to close again as being classed as non essential but if possible I will try and operate some sort of click and collect service as before if we are allowed to continue playing. I realise that some of you may think you should not have to pay if the course isn't open but I would like to point out that if this happens it is being enforced by Government and not your Club. The bottom line is simply that it is your Club and without paying members there would be no Club. I for one am praying that we are allowed to continue even though it will probably be with restrictions. There is currently a petition to try and keep courses open which has over a quarter of a million signatures already. This is found here if you would like to sign it. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/309851 We all have to do our best to stay safe and help each other and lets hope we can continue to enjoy our great course. Here's hoping? Peter.
