Evening all, If you played over the weekend I would really like to thank you for making the days run smoothly. It was a big concern for safety and whether the car park could cope with the amount of cars, and maybe the weather being a tad wet at times helped to ease the congestion but it ran like clockwork and we were bang on time teeing off throughout the whole day. We have tried to make the safest possible environment for you to play in and we will continue to do so during the coming weeks or months. There are lots of challenges for us to face, firstly keeping everyone safe, next trying to keep everyone happy (not always possible) but we are trying. We then have to at some point introduce competitions (which are being planned) at some point, then the bar/ clubhouse at some point will re open, these are all huge challenges to face whilst trying to keep everyone safe. Tomorrow we are back to playing either the front 9 holes but this time you can play in up to a fourball and over the back 11 holes we will continue to have a maximum of 2 balls to accommodate all of our members who still do not feel safe playing or mixing with too many people. This will naturally ease and change over time and the only thing we must do is stay patient. From the team of volunteers who have been giving up their time to ensure your safety and enjoyment a huge thank you for your engagement and responsible actions. Social distancing is not a natural thing so we all need to stay aware of this if we are going to ever get back to some normality. Ok that's enough from me, a bit of telly and a glass or two of vino. See you in the morning x
