Evening all, If you are playing tomorrow in the first 4 ball format since Lockdown I just want to make you aware of the challenges we are facing. Firstly because we can have fourballs doesn't mean we have to? The virus is still very real and lots have died today, some doctors are worried that easing lockdown will create a second spike so we still need to respect social distancing and each other. We are also going to be massively overstretched on the car park with well over 200 golfers playing from 7am until 4pm and all arriving in one car! When we re started we asked everyone to turn up fairly close to your time and if you were early to stay in your car until close to your tee time to avoid any mass gatherings, this is now more important than ever with the number of players and being in fourballs, so please stay in your car until 5 minutes before your tee time. Only one Fourball maximum will be allowed in the waiting area prior to tee off and once you have finished your round you must leave as soon as possible as there cannot be any social gatherings, this is for everybody's safety. We all would like things to return to normal but sadly this is not going to happen any time soon, so please be patient. Everyone has got used to playing over the past few weeks in a maximum of an hour and a half and tomorrow we are going to see 4 hour rounds at least so please just enjoy your day whatever time it takes. One club posted on Twitter this week " First 4 balls for 3 months off at 8am today, first moan about pace of play 10.30 am" As with all golf please keep up with the game in front, if you get into any difficulty or lose a ball please just drop another ball and carry on as there will not be any groups playing through another group. Enjoy your adventure if the weather allows and please be patient. See you in the Morning.
