I hope you have been enjoying our return to golf and the amazing weather, so much has happened since the initial lockdown on the 23rd March, lots of decorating, gardening, fences painted and keep fit regimes!! We are now into the 4th week? Of golf after lockdown, I think? And a lot has happened since the first 2 ball teed off at 7am on that first day, 3 holes-in-one, lots of camerarderie, lots of sunburn and the odd moan! Playing in two balls over 9 or 11 holes has been a nice ease back into golf and this has gone down well with a lot of members and has made them feel safe and comfortable returning to the club. This was never going to go on for ever and with the latest ease in lockdown we are moving on and have introduced 18 holes at weekend, but maintaining the current two tee start mid-week to ensure the safety of our members which is our main concern. We have a vast variety of members and we are aiming to keep as many as possible smiling with the chance to play golf in some format on our wonderful course. This is a tentative step and next week commencing the 8th June we will be updating the golfing arrangements again to ensure we get the best possible experience whilst maintaining the safety element for all of our members. Rest assured it is you the members who are the absolute priority at this time which is why we are not introducing any member guests or visitors at this time. |
