Evening all I hope you have enjoyed your Bank holiday Monday which seems a bit strange as every day is the same at the minute. I enjoyed a day off yesterday so I didn't get to tell you last night about Barry Manchester's Hole in one on the 4th! This is the 2nd hole in one on the 4th since we resumed play and its pretty impressive anytime but with the cups turned upside down you really do have to be spot on. So well done to Barry and John Wainwright and I am sure they cant wait to buy us a drink!! Today has been another beautiful day and 230 of you have enjoyed some fabulous conditions. A big shout out tonight to the group of members (around 18 of them) who have volunteered to help with the weeding of the bunkers, yet another step forward for our course and it is really appreciated. I am hearing some stories of how other clubs are handling the return to golf and I have to say I am not impressed, some clubs seem to be disregarding all guidelines so I hope for their sake that nobody dies. Other clubs who are allowing 18 holes are having lots of issues with some golfers being selfish and blocking lots of times and others not getting a game. All in all I think we have it about right and from talking to most of you on a daily basis we have very few issues. I have been busy between the car park and the shop offering my click and collect service which has really worked quite well with sales of clubs, bags, balls gloves and several regrips and again a huge thank you for your support and patience in these difficult times. I'm off for a glass of Vino now so see you in the Morning x
