Westwood comes out on top
46-year-old Lee Westwood finished two shots ahead on 19 under par to secure his first win of the new decade. Remarkably, it also means that he has won a tournament in each of the last four decades. Westwood gained an impressive four and a half strokes on the field with his driving and becomes the oldest winner of a Rolex Series event. His five-under-par round of 67 kept the chasing pack of Victor Perez, Tommy Fleetwood and Matt Fitzpatrick at bay.
This impressive victory for Westwood is his 25th on the European Tour in 554 appearances and will bump him up to the top of the Race to Dubai standings.
