Quinta Do Lago European 8's Last week our team of 8 were trying to defend our title won last year and sadly fell a bit short. Despite having some pretty solid scoring from all our team, we were not quite firing on all cylinders.
Nevertheless we had a fantastic time with a great bunch of lads... when they all eventually arrived after a slight hiccup with passports!
I personally had a great time and would like to thank all the team - Alan Curties, Ged Ryder, Dave Parry, Dave Lee, Ady Price, Ian Glover and Ste Woods for a fantastic trip.
The camaraderie between teams was great with a special mention to the Munster boys who went on to win and the Leigh Golf Club Team lead by last year’s Captain Simon and Ron Bent of Bent’s garden centre fame.

Dave Parry was our team celebrity hunter and don’t be surprised to see him in I’m a Celebrity next year after his night out with Ant and Dec, without Ant!! ...Or maybe Strictly Come Dancing after getting up close and personal with Strictly star Thom Evans!
Roll on next year!

Congratulations Tom and good luck for the season.

Do People Finally Respect Molinari? Ryder Cup hero, Major champion, European Tour Golfer of the Year, Race to Dubai Champion, oh, and now Arnold Palmer Invitational winner thanks to a monster 44-foot putt on the 18th. To say Italian Francesco Molinari has been hot property for the last 12 months would be an understatement, and a two-shot victory at Bay Hill on Sunday only went to confirm his status within world golf. A bogey-free eight-under 64 mirrored Rory McIlroy’s final round in 2018 when the Northern Irishman went on to win the tournament by two-shots and this time it was Molinari’s turn to repeat that feat. 2018 was undoubtedly Molinari’s breakthrough year but ahead of this year’s majors, we want know who you think will rise to the occasion in 2019 and break their major duck; head over to our website to have your say. Enter our poll. |
Motocaddy has always been at the forefront of trolley innovation, with the world's first GPS electric trolley amongst their ranks. Well, this year they’ve made some significant upgrades to the immensly popular S1 model, which we think you're going to love. |
| New Motocaddy S1 electric trolley (2019) |
|
We don't like using the term 'entry level' to describe the new S1 as it offers so much more than what this suggests. At first glance, you'll take a liking to its modernised styling and graphics, which will really help make it stand out from other trolleys on the market. Then you get to its technology: new and improved sunlight-friendly LCD display, nine speed settings, advanced battery meter so you needn't worry about it running out mid-round without knowing, and a super-lightweight Lithium battery to name but a few. The new S1 for 2019 is as good as it gets at this price point, so pop in-store to take a look and get one in your hands. |
