End of Season Shotgun

On Sunday we held the annual season ending Shotgun competition and prize presentation from the last few week’s competitions. A good turn out in the clubhouse saw Mr Captain and John Birchall presenting the prizes for recent winners and all the knockout events, also pictured are a very happy pair of Mike Picton and Dave Lee who won the Geoff Dempsey Memorial trophy.

The first of the Winter Fourball events starts on Saturday with almost 190 players booked in to play. We will be playing the usual winter rules with Mats or Preferred lies in operation, rake and place in bunkers and also play ready golf. As usual there will be a halfway house with bacon, sausage, soup etc.

Winners will get docked 3 shots, 2nd place 2 and other prize winners 1 shot. Let’s hope the weather is kind, but don’t worry as we have lots of great Winter clothing in the shop!!

2017 season end is almost upon us!

How did this season go? Did you achieve any goals? Did you set any goals?

Over winter is the perfect time to make changes in the golf swing, why not put something in place to try and improve for the start of next season so you can hit the ground running.

Welcome cocktail reception and Gala dinner 850 euros per head. Quinta is a 5 star resort and this is an inaugural event which should be fun.
