Well Done Sergio
What a fantastic advert for Golf and Sportsmanship to see two of the world's best Golfers competing on the world stage in front of Millions and enjoying the moment and appreciating each other's play.
Watching on Sunday it felt a bit surreal thinking that we were there just a few days ago!
Our Masters Trip
Our trip which I had organised was a fantastic experience and I would like to thank all of the group for making the trip so special.
We stayed at the wonderful Harbour Town links on Hilton Head Island which is the venue for this week's RBC Heritage Classic and got to play the course on Sunday just prior to it being closed in preparation for the event.
We played three more courses Heron Point, Atlantic Dunes and Hilton Head National before our trip on Monday to Augusta.
Our first ever experience of Augusta was a bit of a challenge with a ticketing problem on arrival which we eventually sorted and then a Thunderstorm which evacuated the course!
Luckily we were let back in and got to see the famous Turf of this magical place and got some photographs before we were evacuated once again this time for a TORNADO! I suppose it could have been worse. Despite the problems it was a fantastic experience and one I very much hope to repeat again.
It was a day off on Tuesday and six of us opted to play Golf at Haig Point which is only accessible with a 30 minute Ferry ride over to a private island where a magnificent golf course was waiting and was a magnificent experience.
Check out the picture of our Ferry crossing and Paul Hayden driving the boat!
Also check out the Practice ground at Haig Point with the comfy chairs and the big Fans!
Meanwhile five of the lads went Sea Fishing and had a very successful day, once they had finished being sick over the side of the boat there were quite a few fish caught, Mark Whittle landed a Hammerhead Shark which he subsequently cooked for lunch and Dave Lee caught a 35lb Red Drum.
Our final evening was dramatic with the most exciting Lightning Storm I have ever seen, which next morning affected several flights out of Savannah and five of our party of 14 were stranded in Atlanta for an extra day.
Despite the trials and tribulations of weather and flight delays the feeling was if CARLSBERG did Golf trips! This would be it.
I have already started planning for next year.
