Junior Captains Day Michael Rimmer our Junior Captain hosted Junior Captains day on Sunday which was won by
Kian Price with a nett 68 and best gross was won by
Thomas Ratcliffe with an 80.
Well done to all who took part and thank you to Michael for the day.
Last week's Monthly Medal on 27th August was won by
Eddie Leivesley with a great 63 nett with
Mark Rimmer taking division 1 with a fine nett 65.
Adam Hopwood ran away with the Junior stroke on Friday 26th with a nett 61.
The Ladies Par competition on Wednesday 31st was won by
Chris Bracken just pipping
Viv Birchall by 1 shot.
On to Saturday's Gerard Cup, this was a shocker with awful weather most of the day, but despite this and with lots of players giving up in the foul conditions there were some great scores.
Allan Pilling won with a fantastic nett 65 followed by injured
Mal Evans who had a 67, but also worth a special mention was
Andrew Parkinson who shot 68 and probably had the worst of the conditions and tied 3rd.
2017 Augusta Trip I have had a great response for the trip I have organised in March next year to play and stay at the world famous Harbour Town Links and spend a practice day at the Masters.
I have planned to take 12 Golfers and there are now 9 confirmed which is fantastic.
