Junior Victory Trophy Success

Last week I told you about the shoot-out with the Juniors and how well they had played, and last Friday here at Ashton they backed it up with a magnificent win by a staggering 40 shots.

Friday was a glorious day weather wise and the organisation from our team here at Ashton was excellent.

All the boys played well and to win the nett prize by 40 shots was amazing, but also for such a young team they finished 3rd in the gross team prize which looks good for the future. 

Ashton scooped 1st and 2nd Nett in the individual also with Matthew Picton scoring 65 & 67 off 18 handicap, and the Overall winner Nathan McAleavey scoring an incredible 59 & 68 off 19 handicap.

Congratulations to all the boys on a fantastic performance.

Thanks as always to all involved Starters, spotters, scorers, car park attendants and also all the parents who came along to caddy or support.

Our winner Nathan was coaxed round by his caddy Ian Shaw or Steve Williams as I have now nicknamed him, and made a great team with Nathan's skill and Ian's course management. 

  

 

Our Annual Pro Am took place on Tuesday this week and we had a great line up of Pro's playing which included former European Open Champion Andrew Murray and European Tour Players Phil, Archer and Neil Cheetham as well as some of the finest Professionals in the North West.

2017 Masters

I am planning a trip to The Masters in 2017 from 30th March - 6th April. 

This will consist of 4 rounds of golf on Championship courses and a day at Augusta for one of the practice rounds. 

The cost excluding flights is £1990 but I am sure you will agree could be the trip of a lifetime.
